Bapuji Educational Association (BEA) was established in July, 1958 and registered under the Registration of Societies Act, 1904. The Registered office of the Association is situated in Davangere. The association celebrated Golden Jubilee in the year 2012.

Since its inception in 1958 with nascent beginnings in the form of a first-grade college, BEA has led to the creation of phenomenal milestones in the field of Elementary Education, Higher Education and Learning. The genesis of the Bapuji Educational Association has led to the remarkable growth of Davangere and affirming its position as the most preferred educational hub catering to the learning needs of a vast expanse of the population. Fostering a committed zeal to transform the developmental landscape and achieve excellence in education & healthcare in central Karnataka. The various iconic institutions under the BEA family stand testimony to the high professional standards aimed for and achieved by its founding members. History often sees the creation of people who envision centers of excellence, and few organisations end up creating one, BEA with its cornerstone of excellence is an embodiment of both.
About the Institution
Established in 1973, A.R.G. College of Arts and Commerce began its independent journey after bifurcation from DRM Science College, with a vision to provide quality education in Arts, Commerce, and Management to students of Davangere and neighbouring districts. The institution is named in honour of its benevolent donor, Ajjampurada Rangappa Govinda swamy, in recognition of his generous contribution. Committed to academic excellence and societal development, the college has earned a strong reputation by consistently adhering to its vision and mission. The institution has voluntarily undergone NAAC accreditation, securing ‘B’ Grade (2004), ‘B’ Grade – CGPA 2.55 (2011), ‘B+’ Grade – CGPA 2.63 (2017), and ‘B’ Grade – CGPA 2.21 in the 4th Cycle (2021).
